There is a lot of Supernatural running through the DNA of The Boys. Both shows were created by Eric Kripke and, in Season 3, The Boys introduced Soldier Boy, played by Supernatural’s Jensen Ackles. Then it was announced that The Boys Season 5 would add Jared Padalecki and Misha Collins from Supernatural to the mix for the final season, and fans have been waiting all month to see how that actually happens. Now, in Episode 5 of Season 5, The Boys gets the Supernatural reunion we’ve been waiting for.

Spoilers for The Boys Season 5 Episode 5 below.

Just a few weeks ago, Jared Padalecki confirmed the speculation around his character in The Boys, openly stating that he is playing Mister Marathon. We first heard about Mister Marathon back in Season 1 as the speedster who was on The Seven before A-Train replaced him. The preview for the latest episode of The Boys shows Padalecki’s Mister Marathon finally showing up on screen and interacting with Jensen Ackles’ Soldier Boy. Both actors played the Winchester Brothers in Supernatural from 2005 to 2020.

They’re not the only Supernatural actors to make an appearance in the scene. We also see Misha Collins, who played the angelic Castiel in Supernatural, in the same scene, which has Homelander and Soldier Boy interrogating Mister Marathon on the whereabouts of the elusive V1 compound. They waited till halfway through the final season of The Boys, but finally, all the Supernatural boys are back together - for a little while, at least.

The Boys Season 5 Episode 5 is currently streaming on Prime Video.

They are brash, unforgiving, and a little rough around the edges... and they're the good guys! The heroes of Prime Video's The Boys, led by Karl Urban's Butcher, go up against the 'superheroes' that is the Seven, led by Anthony Starr's Homelander, leader of the Seven. With that show's five seasons plus spinoffs such as Gen V, Diabolical, and reportedly more, there's a lot to the Boys Franchise, and we're here to help... with:
