The Percy Jackson and the Olympians cast want to adapt Rick Riordan’s Heroes of Olympus series next
Percy Jackson and the Olympians star Walker Scobell wants to adapt the Heroes of Olympus series (and says he’ll get a SPQR tattoo if they do it)

Walker Scobell isn’t ready for his Percy Jackson journey to end. The young actor has been starring in the Disney+ streaming series Percy Jackson and the Olympians since 2023, and so far each season has adapted a different novel in Rick Riordan’s Percy Jackson and the Olympians book series. This means that unless the producers deviate from their plans, the series will end in two years after season five finishes adapting The Last Olympian.
However, if you’re familiar with the Percy Jackson books, then you know that Riordan continued to explore the world in another series titled Heroes of Olympus. Percy and his friends are still major players, but the novels focus on a new camp of Roman demigods. Walter Scobell is hoping that Disney+ will adapt that series once Percy Jackson and the Olympians has wrapped.
“If we’re lucky enough, and the stars align, and we get to do Heroes of Olympus, first we finish this, which is also awesome. I would totally get SPQR tattoo,” Walker Scobell said during a Percy Jackson and the Olympians panel at D23 Expo 2026.
It should be noted that when Scobell mentioned doing Heroes of Olympus, the audience loudly cheered. Since this was D23, an official Disney event, we have to imagine some programming executives were in the room. If they heard those screams, they should have a pretty good idea of what their audience wants, and if that’s the case, we might see Heroes of Olympus series one day. Until then, Percy Jackson and the Olympians season three premieres on Disney+ November 20.
