If Critical Role's Percival de Rolo lost a limb, Taliesin Jaffe knows what he'd do next

You think that The Legend of Vox Machina's tinkeriest member couldn't pull a Luke Skywalker at the drop of a hat? (Er, leg?) Well buster, you'd be wrong

If you squint, Critical Role's Percival de Rolo is kinda Skywalkery. Taliesin Jaffe's The Legend of Vox Machina has a weird relationship with his sister, has a thing for dark robes, and is deeply desired by dark forces. So how would Exandria's most iconic gunslinger deal with the most common misfortune to befall that family - namely, a limb getting lopped off?

Jaffe himself has an answer.

The idea comes out of a ScreenRant Studio chat that Jeff did alongside fellow OG Rolers Travis Willingham, Marisha Ray, Liam O'Brien, Sam Riegel, Ashley Johnson, and Matt Mercer. The purpose of the discussion was to pose challenging questions to the CR cast regarding their characters, and at one point, Ray asked Jeff if Percy were to lose a limb:  "which one are you now missing, and how do you compensate for it?"

"That's pretty easy," answered The Mighty Nein actor, in character as Percy, "I would lose my left leg. I will go above the knee to make it difficult."

Damn, Taliesin - have you thought about this before?

"I would build a brand new [leg]," he continued, "Possibly with those ones that are just the giant spring, because then you can get a little bit more speed. Honestly, then I would need to balance it out - so maybe I would have to build an extra thing on the other side of it just to even it out a bit."

For a moment, Jaffe considered going full steampunk with his answer, but determined that, "you know, steam powered would not be good."

"I'd workshop it," he concluded.

With two animated series on Prime Video, Campaign 4 in full swing, and so much more Exandrian lore to come, Critical Role is showing no signs of slowing down. That's why the adventuring party at Popverse are here to bring you everything we can from those nerdy-ass voice actors & Bo., including:

...and much, much more. Roll initiative, player. Magic awaits.
