With Tom Holland’s fourth solo outing as Spider-Man set to hit cinemas at the end of this month, fans are naturally looking toward Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-verse as the next big adventure for the wall-crawler. However, one question everyone has been asking is when we’d see Miles Morales in the MCU. It is something Marvel Studios’ Kevin Feige is aware of and has plans for.

Speaking to China’s Watching Hollywood outlet during the press tour for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, Kevin Feige commented that the Spider-Verse films remain the main barrier to bringing Miles Morales into the MCU. “Yes, we definitely have plans [for a live-action Miles] and I think a live-action Spider-Man movie has this destiny: to add Miles sometime after the Spider-Verse series ends.”

This is something that Kevin Feige and Marvel Studios have said in the past; there is little chance of seeing a live-action Miles Morales until Spider-Man: Beyond the Spider-Verse has its day in the sun. Sony has a hit series on their hands there and doesn’t seem keen on letting Marvel play with their toy right now. With nearly a year to go before the animated Miles has his time in the sun and then Marvel focusing on the lead-up to Avengers: Secret Wars in late 2027, it might take a long time to see that destiny fulfilled. The most we’ve gotten is an easter egg of Donald Glover playing Miles’ uncle Aaron Davis in Spider-Man: Homecoming and again in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse.

Still, the longer fans have to wait for a live-action Miles Morales Spider-Man movie, the more Kevin Feige is going to have to answer this question.
