Marvel keeps adding to its already over-stuffed Doomsday cast list

The already stacked cast of Avengers: Doomsday keeps expanding, if you can believe it.
At CinemaCon 2026, Marvel Studios unveiled a trailer for Avengers: Doomsday, showing Robert Downey Jr.'s Doctor Doom in action against heroes like Chris Evans' Steve Rogers, Chris Hemsworth's Thor, and more. Beyond some surprising twists teased in the trailer, there was one casting curveball: the reveal that Kathryn Newton will be reprising her role as Cassie Lang in the film. Previously, Newton hadn't been announced as a part of the cast for the film, but it makes sense for her to appear alongside Paul Rudd's Ant-Man. (She's since released an Instagram reel officially announcing her role in the movie.)
Newton isn't the only newcomer to the Avengers: Doomsday cast. In a new statement from the Walt Disney Company outlining the studio's presentations at CinemaCon this week, a new name was listed as among the Doomsday cast: Wesley Holloway. Previously, Holloway hasn't been in any MCU projects, and he is a child actor who appeared, curiously, in Terrifier 2.
Adding another kid actor to the cast could have any number of meanings. We've seen in a teaser for Doomsday that Steve Rogers has a child with Peggy Carter, presumably. Could Holloway be playing Steve and Peggy's son? In the teaser, Evans' Steve looks clean cut, while in the full Doomsday trailer, he's been described by IGN as "looking long-haired and scraggly, even more so than in Infinity War." Unless the Super-Soldier Serum makes Steve's hair grow at an accelerated rate (nightmare scenario, honestly) I would imagine that it would take a significant amount of time for Steve to go from his usual clean cut self to embracing the scraggle. But perhaps not enough time for Holloway to plausibly play his son.
There's also the possibility that Holloway could be playing Mister Fantastic and the Invisible Woman's son, Franklin Richards, who debuted in The Fantastic Four: First Steps last summer. As Marvel Comics readers know, Franklin is one of the most powerful beings in the Marvel Universe, and it would be helpful to have a person as powerful as young Franklin on the Avengers' team. That said, the Fantastic Four might not be keen to have Franklin on a child soldier path, because they're not the X-Men.
Avengers: Doomsday opens December 18, so we have eight months to speculate about this kind of thing.
