I think every Spider-Man fan loves a good aerial fight, and the Spider-Man movies certainly support this theory. For instance, I remember hearing an audience member scream in shock during Spider-Man: Homecoming when the Vulture abruptly grabbed Spider-Man out of the sky. Peter Parker isn't safe on the ground, nor in the skies!

With characters like Green Goblin, The Vulture, Hobgoblin, Electro, and more roaming the skies in Marvel Comics, they posed a problem for game designers at Magic: The Gathering who were working on the Spider-Man crossover set. Game designer Mark Rosewater shared on the Magic: The Gathering website about how the particularities of Spider-Man created new challenges for the set's design team: "One of the ongoing challenges with many Universes Beyond properties is having enough things that fly. Marvel had literally the opposite problem. So many characters can fly that we often asked ourselves, 'Does this creature need to have flying?'"

As we can see in the list of cards for the Spider-Man set, characters like Electro, Green Goblin, Morbius, and more got away with having a Flying ability. With so many characters with the ability to fly in this set, it's fair to say that Marvel's Spider-Man has got a different flavor than other Universes Beyond sets. The only question that remains is, where will your Spider-Man deck take you?
