ScottGames, the wildly successful video game company whose Five Nights at Freddy's has inspired a generation of horror media, is teaming up with a very real entertainment company to bring the infamous Freddy Fazbear's Pizza to life. Yes, you'll get the opportunity to literally step into the most cursed Chuck E. Cheese ripoff in our culture's collective consciousness, and the best news?

The site promises to be fully interactive.

The story comes from a Variety article published August 9, which tells of the collaboration between Scott Cawthon's gaming company and American Dream, an entertainment company based out of New Jersey. According to the outlet, the fruit of their union will be an IRL Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza, opening in East Rutherford, New Jersey sometime in 2027.

And before you start thinking to yourself, 'Well surely this will only be a regular pizza joint with some Five Nights at Freddy's merch available,' just take a look at how Atreyu Alcantar, creative manager of licensing & location-based entertainment at American Dream, describes the project.

"The animatronic show has to be authentic," Alcantar said in the article posted above, "The food has to be high quality. And above all else, we’re not building a set that looks like Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza – we’re building Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. This experience will immerse longtime fans in the world they’ve imagined for years while welcoming an entirely new audience to discover it for the first time."

OK so a quick note here - has anyone ever played an FNAF game or watched the Blumhouse films and thought, 'Man, I bet that pizza was high quality?'

All joking aside, American Dream seems to be fully committed to creating an experience that will put draw fans into their favorite fictional world as they never have experienced it before. The question remains, though, exactly how scary will this real location be? Remember, to the majority of the populace in the FNAF universe, Freddy Fazbear's was nothing more than a place for a great 80s or 90s birthday party. Will this location reflect that part of its history, or the more sinister side that the main characters in the games experienced?

I guess the only way to find out is to visit it ourselves.
