Absolute Supergirl and Absolute Aquaman are on DC's minds... but fans can help them decide
A new survey from DC Comics asks fans what they'd like to see in the future of the Absolute Universe

Popverse's top stories
- Star Wars: Andor's breakout character (literally) has an end to his story, and Andy Serkis knows what it is
- Avengers: Armageddon writer Chip Zdarsky has a three-year plan for what's next at Marvel, "provided it clears a bunch of hurdles"
- How would The Amazing Digital Circus's Jax and Hazbin Hotel's Angel Dust get along? Not well, says Michael Kovach
DC Comics knows they have something special with the Absolute Universe, and the publisher wants to know why you, dear reader, have come aboard this line of comics. Since launching in the fall of 2024, DC's Absolute Universe has expanded from Absolute Batman, Absolute Wonder Woman, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Green Lantern to Absolute Flash, Absolute Martian Manhunter, Absolute Green Arrow, and Absolute Catwoman. With any luck, there are more Absolute books on the way, and DC Comics wants your input on where the future of the Absolute Universe goes.
In a new survey from DC Comics, there's a section that reads, "We’d love to hear what drew you to the new Absolute line and what you’d like to see next," before fans are asked what their favorite DC characters are from a list of characters. The only characters on the list (aside from the "Another character option") who haven't already appeared in an Absolute book are Aquaman and Supergirl, which is curious!
Given the section's preface about "what you'd like to see next," it isn't a stretch to think that the survey is a way for DC to gauge fan interest in Absolute Aquaman and Absolute Supergirl books. Personally, I'm all for it. Aquaman and Supergirl both have iconic origin stories, and there's a lot of material for creators to subvert and reinvent in the Absolute Universe.
