The first episode aired on April 7, 2026 in Japan, with new episodes coming out every week until the end of the season, which is usually in early July. Between all the wild action, Marriagetoxin is about a young man trying to find love while not being particularly good at romance. While he’s never had time for love, he throws himself into his quest to find a bride when his sister is ordered to have a child to continue the bloodline. Hikaru is aided by Mei Kinosaki, a notorious marriage swindler who has tricked multiple men into marrying them. The twist: Mei is a man crossdressing as a woman to con rich men out of their money. Together, the pair need to navigate the violent criminal underworld while finding a woman Hikaru can talk to without breaking into a nervous sweat.

Yes, MarriageToxin is getting a second season, which is set to air in January 2027. That means that the second season is coming out less than a year after the first season aired, which is a remarkably fast turnaround for a show with as much action as this one.
