After teasing and revealing it, now it is confirmed: the mysterious Fox Mask Killer from The hyper-horror-hunter series Exquisite Corpses is returning in an all-new series, both explaining her secret origin as well as mapping out where she wants to go next: to kill off the Fox Mask Killer.

“From the moment James and Michael welcomed me into the world of Exquisite Corpses, I knew It was something special. I gravitated instantly to Fox Mask Killer, a character whose design alone provoked a rich backstory and undeniable aura," says Absolute Catwoman co-writer Che Grayson, who is writing the series - and guest-wrote Exquisite Corpses #4, featuring Fox Mask Killer.
But if that's an appetizer, this is the main course — served on the mask of the Fox Mask Killer, which series creators James Tynion IV and Michael Walsh never revealed.
"The biggest treat for me as a writer was the challenge of bringing depth to a character whose face readers would never see…until now," Grayson continues. "With this new limited series, the mask finally comes off, and I couldn’t be more excited to team up again with my best mate Adam alongside stellar talents Jordie and Becca."

That is artist Adam Gorham, colorist Jodie Bellaire, and letterer Becca Carey, who round out the creative team of Exquisite Corpses: Fox Mask Killer.
Fox Mask Killer is one of a group of elite assassins recruited in the recent Image Comics hit Exquisite Corpses to face off to find out who's best. While she didn't win that, there's a prize she wants even more: a way out of a killer's life.
"I'm thrilled about returning to the bloodthirsty world of Exquisite Corpses,” says Gorham. “The experience on Season One of the series was so fun and unique. My first issue, which brought Che and I together, focused on Fox Mask and Lady Carolina, and in the end, it was clear to everyone involved that there was much more to explore with those characters. So here we are!"

"This is a dream project for me," Grayson adds, while writing both DC's Absolute Catwoman and a spinoff, Absolue Cassandra Cain, "and I think fans of Fox Mask Killer and the Exquisite Corpses series are going to be very happy with the high stakes and even higher emotions thrill ride we have her on.”
They'll be joined with variant covers by Annie Wu, Ito, Mike Huddleston, Inhyuk Lee, and Exquisite Corpses co-creator Michael Walsh — whose variant will come polybagged with a collectible trading card tied to the upcoming Exquisite Corpses: The Game, which he designed.
This is one of a pack of Exquisite Corpses spin-off series, joining Rascal Randy by Tyler Boss and Dylan Burnett, Lone Gunman by Pornsak Pichetshote and Alberto Ponticelli, and an anthology one-shot. There's a movie in the works too, but let's keep it to the comics for now.
Exquisite Corpses: Fox Mask Killer #1 goes on sale on September 16.
