The Walking Dead franchise, much like the undead in the title, refuses to die. There are multiple spin-offs already in the works, with The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season two set to join them in the fall. What lies in wait for France's future - and when should fans expect to find out? Keep reading.
If you watched The Walking Dead: The Ones Who Live finale and still need more zombie action, we have some good news. The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season two, subtitled The Book of Carol, is coming to AMC and AMC+ this September. Specifically, September 29 at 9pm Eastern/Pacific.
As the subtitle implies, one of the big changes in the second season of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon is the return of Melissa McBride as Carol. She made a brief appearance in the final episode of season one but will be part of the main cast in season two. Her absence from the previous season was due to scheduling conflicts with McBride; thankfully those seem to have been cleared up and she is free and clear to be a big part of the show going forward.
AMC's official description of the new season goes like this: "The new season picks up where The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon left off, following fan-favorite characters Daryl Dixon (Reedus) and Carol Peletier (McBride). They both confront old demons while she fights to find her friend and he struggles with his decision to stay in France, causing tension at the Nest. Additionally, Genet (Anne Charrier)’s movement builds momentum, setting Pouvoir on a violent collision course with the Union of Hope in the fight for France's future."
In addition to Reedus and McBride, the season stars Clémence Poésy, Louis Puech Scigliuzzi, Laika Blanc Francard, Charrier, Romain Levi and Eriq Ebouaney. Showrunner David Zabel is one of the executive producers on the series alongside Reedus, McBride, Scott M. Gimple, Greg Nicotero, Angela Kang, Brian Bockrath, Daniel Percival, Jason Richman and Steve Squillante.
The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon season two hits screens this fall, but it won’t be the end of Daryl’s story. A third season is already in development for release at AMC and AMC+.
