One of the biggest hits of the Winter 2024 anime season was Solo Leveling, a show that took the reverse-isekai formula and gave it a dark twist. Just a few days after the season one finale aired on Crunchyroll, we found out more episodes were on their way, but when is Solo Leveling season two going to come out?

It is a very good thing that the studio confirmed that a second season of Solo Leveling was on its way because the first season ended with such a terrible cliffhanger that fans would probably riot if we thought that was the end. Instead, we’re left with a potentially long wait for the Solo Leveling: Arise from the Shadows January 2025 release date.

We won't find out until later in 2024 exactly when the first episode of Solo Leveling season two will air. The first season began airing on January 7, 2024, so expect it to be a bloody start to the new year for Crunchyroll. Fans who have already read the manga know that this is the season when Jinwoo begins really coming to terms with the new power he unlocked at the end of season one, making this a pivotal moment in the Solo Leveling story.

The new season of the show will officially be titled Solo Leveling Season 2 – Arise from the Shadow and Crunchyroll has already confirmed that they’ll be airing it when it does come out. Most likely that will happen in the first week of January 2025, but until we get some kind of official announcement we will just have to wait and see how strong Jinwoo can become.
