Everyone’s school years are hard. Attending an elite school for mages is even tougher. Attending an elite school for mages despite not being able to cast magic would normally be a fool’s errand, but that is the premise of Wistoria: Wand and Sword, the upcoming anime based on Fujino Omori and Toshi Aoi’s manga. We’ve known that the adaptation was in the works for a while now but now we know exactly when Wistoria: Wand and Sword’s release date is coming and who will be streaming it.
Fans of Wistoria: Wand and Sword won’t have to wait long to see the first episode, which is due out on July 7, 2024 in Japan. What’s more, it will be streaming worldwide shortly after on Crunchyroll, making it easy to watch Will’s journey as he tries to fulfill his childhood promise to become the greatest sorcerer in a world driven by magic, despite not being able to cast a single spell. Fortunately, his skill with a blade helps him navigate this particular setback because if magic can’t solve the problem, stabbing is a good second option.
If the name Fujino Omori is familiar, it is because he was also the author of the popular light-novel series Is It Wrong To Pick Up Girls in a Dungeon? which became a popular anime starting in 2015. Wistoria: Wand and Sword is expected to be a slightly more grounded and serious take on the fantasy genre than Omori’s previous work.
Wistoria: Wand and Sword will be released on July 7, 2024 and will be streaming worldwide on Crunchyroll.
