FX's American Horror Story is all about killer suspense, about keeping the audience waiting for a scare. And until just recently, the most suspenseful part of the show was waiting to hear when the next episode would drop.

The first part of AHS's latest season, titled Delicate, has already aired. You know this if you're a fan of anthology horror or just interested in seeing Kim Kardashian in an acting role. What you didn't know (and we didn't either) is just when the second part of this season is coming out. But thanks to a new TV Line article, we can now officially reveal the release date, letting all us AHS fans go back to worrying about what's happening on screen, not when we'll see it.

American Horror Story: Delicate Part 2 drops comes to FX April 3.

Thank goodness we got that out of the way! But since it's been a long wait, let's quickly recap what's been going on with this season, shall we?

What's going on with American Horror Story: Delicate?

The reasons for Delicate coming in two parts are the recently ended WGA and SAG-AFTRA strikes, respectively. After a controversial decision to continue filming after the WGA strike was declared (as reported by Deadline), the series paused filming on July 13, 2023, according to Hidden Remote. Then, on August 15, Deadline reported that FX had announced Delicate's two-part structure, with a release date of September 20. After airing the last episode of its first half on October 18, the show wouldn't start filming again until November of 2023. Then, an Instagram post from star Emma Roberts confirmed that filming of the second half had ended January 22 of this year.

What happens in the first half of American Horror Story: Delicate?

Adapted from the novel Delicate Condition by Danielle Rollins, AHS's twelfth season tells the story of Anna, a popular actress who seeks to become a mother. Anna, played by Emma Roberts, goes through a difficult IVF process, coming to the conclusion that someone is trying to sabotage her plans to build a family. Things get even stranger when she does become pregnant - although with what, we can't be certain.

What do we know about second part of American Horror Story: Delicate?

Earlier, we speculated that if Delicate had resumed filming around December of 2023, and that it followed the same five episode/five month production schedule, the earliest we could see Delicate Part 2 was April 2024. Our guess about the date was correct (partially due to a little luck), but we were off about the episode count. Also revealed in the TV Line article mentioned earlier, Delicate Part 2 will be comprised of four episodes. Their titles are listed here:

  • Episode 6 - Opening Night
  • Episode 7 - Ave Hestia
  • Episode 8 - Little Gold Man
  • Episode 9 - The Auteur

So there you have it - after months of waiting, you the patient American Horror Story fan finally have official release news. But don't sit back just yer. As very parent knows, just because there's a due date doesn't mean you can relax. American Horror Story: Delicate, Part One is streaming on Hulu now.
