Ahsoka: How to watch the fan-favorite Star Wars hero's life story in chronological and release order
A guide to all the Ahsoka-starring Star Wars films and TV series
Ahsoka Tano’s story is over… for now, at least. All eight episodes of the much-anticipated live-action series are now streaming on Disney+, giving fans the sequel to Star Wars Rebels they didn’t know they wanted. Just because the end of the story has arrived doesn’t mean that Ahsoka is gone, however… it just means that audiences have the chance to revisit the entire story from beginning to end now.
Whether you're an old fan looking to refresh your memory or someone new to Star Wars searching to learn more, you could find it tricky to navigate the various films and television series to determine when and where Ahsoka appears. Thankfully, we have compiled two viewing orders, chronological and release, to watch Ahsoka's story unfold - and best of all, you can watch it all on Disney+.
Ahsoka in chronological order
Ahsoka has grown up right before our very eyes. We've seen her as a baby, followed along her teenage years, and witnessed her take the step into adulthood and develop into an inspiring leader. Below is a comprehensive list of all her appearances in chronological order. It includes main storylines, quick voice cameos, and everything in between.
We use the Galactic standard calendar, the in-universe Star Wars timeline, to note the year each entry takes place. We further utilize the BBY-ABY dating system, which stands for 'Before the Battle of Yavin' and 'After the Battle of Yavin,' respectively. The Battle of Yavin is in the third act of Episode IV: A New Hope, where the Rebel Alliance launches an assault on the Death Star, a planet-destroying space station.
One last note. We indicate every episode that Ahsoka appears. Other than Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series and Tales of the Jedi, we recommend viewing the entire series to receive context of her role and impact on events. We separate Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series into one-offs and story arcs. For Tales of the Jedi, there is no exact time the episodes occur, so they are placed in the approximate time frame. Both shows are anthology series, where the different stories are self-contained and can stand by themselves.
