Do you remember the 1996 movie Twister? You know, the one about the twister? If you weren't around in 1996 (or were a toddler, like I was), Twister was a disaster movie that followed a group of storm chasers (played by a veritable group of stars including Helen Hunt, Cary Elwes, Phillip Seymour Hoffman, and Tár's Todd Field) during a severe outbreak of tornados in Oklahoma. The movie was the second highest grossing film of the year and has been remembered fondly by many disaster movie lovers in the decades since.

Now, we're returning to the world of Twister with a standalone sequel to the movie titled... Twisters. The movie is set to debut this July and will be directed by Lee Isaac Chung and feature a cast including Daisy Edgar-Jones, Glen Powell, and Anthony Ramos.

We got our first look at Twisters with the brand new Super Bowl LVIII trailer. Watch it here:

Twisters will debut in theaters on July 19, 2024.
