A new Yona of the Dawn anime seems to be imminent, coinciding with this weekend's grand finale of the manga
As the final chapter of Yona of the Dawn hits shelves, we could find ourselves getting to experience the story all over again.

The final chapter of the manga Yona of the Dawn is nearly upon us, which marks one of the most extraordinary runs in Shojo manga history. The fantasy romance series has been running for 16 years and has inspired multiple generations of fans. However, from the sadness of seeing the story finally come to an end comes a bit of good news, as it seems that a new Yona of the Dawn anime is about to be announced.
The news that a new Yona of the Dawn anime is in production comes from noted anime and manga news account Manga Mogura RE, who says that the announcement comes from Hana to Yume magazine, which serializes the manga. That magazine is due to hit shelves in Japan tomorrow, so we haven’t seen it translated for ourselves, but the source is typically trustworthy, so we’re willing to get excited on this one. No studio or release window was mentioned in the announcement.
A new Yona of the Dawn anime would be welcome news for fans. It marks the second attempt to animate Mizuho Kusanagi’s iconic fantasy romance manga. The first series ran for 24 episodes in 2014-2015, right in the middle of the manga’s run. That means that it never had a chance to adapt the full story, which began in 2009 and is just coming to an end in December 2025.
Yona of the Dawn mixes political intrigue, epic fantasy action, and romance in a way that very few manga have. If the reports are true and we are indeed getting a new Yona of the Dawn anime, we’re eagerly awaiting more details.
