It’s not all fun and games at Nevermore Academy these days — or, at least, whatever passes for fun and games in the mind of Jenna Ortega's Wednesday Addams. As the second season of Netflix’s Wednesday approaches, the gloomiest of all the Addamses is having to face up to new challenges… including her own limitations. Not that she’ll admit them, of course.
“Wednesday’s biggest Achilles heel is certainty,” co-creator Alfred Gough told Netflix’s Tudum while teasing the new season. “She’s always very certain that she knows what’s right. And a lot of the time, that is not the case.”
That kind of overconfidence is the kind of thing that leads to trouble, as can be seen in the new trailer for the show’s second season, debuting in August — but that’s also what makes good television, as anyone who watched the first season of Wednesday knows already. Check out the new trailer below.

Wednesday returns to Netflix August 6 with the first part of season 2; part 2 follows September 3.
