The Chosen season 5 release date: Prime Video welcomes The Last Supper

The tale of Jesus of Nazareth continues with The Chosen, now on a new streaming platform

After a successful theatrical run, The Chosen season 5 will be streaming on Prime Video very soon.

In case you weren't aware, The Chosen season 5 was released in theaters under the banner The Chosen: Last Supper, due to this season's depiction of the Biblical event of the same name. But don't be confused - when The Chosen season 5 comes to Prime Video June 15, viewers will very much be watching the continuation of the series that has been broadcast on The CW for four seasons ahead of this one.

The Biblical narrative, which stars Jonathan Roumie as Jesus, has previously appeared on streaming platforms such as Netflix and Peacock. However, as part of the agreement Amazon MGM Studios offered to theatrically release what would make up The Chosen: Last Supper, the series now is streaming on Prime Video. Whether that means the series will continue on with Prime Video post-season 5 is unclear.

The Chosen season 5 will stream on Prime Video June 15.
