The cast of The Boys are no strangers to getting covered in blood and gore (just look at how the series starts with A-Train accidentally killing Robin), but not everyone in the cast is keen on getting covered in whale guts all the time. In fact, Laz Alonso, who plays MM on The Boys, went through the uniquely mortifying experience of getting covered in this, that, and the other over the course of filming the series.
At The Boys panel at Emerald City Comic Con 2026, Alonso revealed how the showrunner of The Boys, Eric Kripke, tapped into his personal fears with season 5 of The Boys. "Once [Eric] Kripke figured out that I don't like being covered in stuff, I like being clean, MM became dirty for the rest of the series. So expect me to be very dirty in season 5," Alonso said.
The Boys will end with its fifth season, but it's going out with a bang. Earlier, we reported that Alonso said that fans should "Keep [their] tissue boxes close" while watching the final few episodes. Though, of course, that might not necessarily be a bad thing, because Alonso's castmate, Karen Fukuhara, said, "For all kinds of fluids. All the fluids."

We'll know for sure once The Boys season 5 releases on Prime Video on April 8, 2026.
