Suits LA, Night Court, and more cancelled as NBC clears its schedule ahead of announcing fall 2025 plans
The much-hyped spin-off of fan-favorite show Suits didn't win over enough viewers to make it through a heavy year of cancellations for NBC

Turns out, maybe sunshine and lawyers don't mix. NBC has cancelled Suits LA, the much-hyped spin-off of the streaming hit Suits, after its first season as part of what's beginning to look like a cull of a significant portion of its current line-up ahead of this month's announcement of its Fall 2025 schedule.
Not only will Suits LA not be coming back for a second year, Jesse L. Martin’s detective series The Irrational has been cancelled after two years, alongside missing persons drama Found, also cancelled after two seasons. Suits LA's cancellation comes ahead of the show's finale, which airs May 18; it was originally intended as merely a first season finale.
That’s not all; the Peacock network also handed the death sentence out to two sitcoms — Night Court and Lopez vs. Lopez — after both had lasted three seasons. Night Court may be shopped around to other networks, according to sources.
It’s not all carnage for NBC, however; Happy’s Place and St. Denis Medical, two sitcoms that debuted this year, are already renewed for second seasons, and all three One Chicago shows (Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Chicago PD) have also been given orders for another year. Similarly, both Law & Order and Law & Order: SVU will be coming back in the fall.
A number of the networks' current shows, such as Brilliant Minds and Grosse Pointe Garden Society, are still in limbo regarding potential returns — including both The Voice and Saturday Night Live, both of which are almost certainly returning.
NBC will announce more about its 2025/2026 plans during the NBCUniversal upfronts on May 12.
