The Stranger Things: Tales from '85 Season 1release date is April 23rd, 2026 on Netflix. It's been only a few months since the original Stranger Things series concluded on Netflix on December 31st, 2025. While we don't know how many episodes will comprise the season, they will all debut simultaneously on April 23rd. And naturally, this is just one of the many TV or streaming show release dates you'll want to keep track of this spring. Here's the official teaser trailer for the show:

Set between Stranger Things Seasons 2 and 3, Tales from '85 explores the cold Hawkins winter after Eleven sealed the Upside Down. The show follows Eleven (Brooklyn Davey Norstedt), Mike (Luca Diaz), Will (Ben Plessala), Dustin (Braxton Quinney), Lucas (Elisha Williams) and Max (Jolie Hoang-Rappaport) as they enjoy Dungeons & Dragons and snowbound winter fun. However, they soon discover that something monstrous is lurking beneath the ice. Is it from Hawkins Labs, the Upside Down or somewhere else entirely? The show also features Brett Gipson as Jim Hopper, Jeremy Jordan as Steve Harrington and Odessa A'zion as new character Nikki Baxter. In addition, Lou Diamond Phillips and Janeane Garofalo join the show in undisclosed roles.
