Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 release date: When we'll find out what happened to the crew of the Enterprise after that cliffhanger on Paramount+

After season 2 of Star Trek: Strange New Worlds left us all reeling from a cliffhanger, here's when the show will come back to Paramount+

As a Star Trek fan, I've been spoiled. I've spent very little of my life watching Trek shows as they came out each week, or each year. Instead, I've been able to race through the episodes of The Original Series, The Next Generation, Voyager, and Deep Space Nine on streaming or on cable. Just this morning, I finished watching season 5 of Voyager, which ends on a cliffhanger where Captain Janeway gets seemingly incapacitated. But luckily for me, without even having to lift a finger, the first episode of season 6 started to queue up on Paramount+. Cliffhanger anxiety neutralized.

The same cannot be said for Strange New Worlds, which I've been anxiously awaiting the return of for months. Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 will begin streaming on July 17 on Paramount+. It will kick off with a two-episode premiere ("Hegemony, Part II" and "Wedding Bell Blues") before releasing weekly until the season finale airs on September 11. All in all, it's part of a busy time of year for television. You can take a peek at the latest trailer below, wherein Spock attempts to crack a practical joke (and I am proud of him for it).

As much as I would love to see Strange New Worlds go on forever, it was announced earlier today that Paramount renewed it for a fifth and final season. Instead of crying about how it will end in another two seasons, I will attempt to smile because it happened, and will probably look like 100% human Spock trying to appear jovial

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds season 3 will begin streaming on Paramount+ on July 17.
