Star Trek: Strange New Worlds actor Martin Quinn - who plays Scotty - wants to see an episode set in Scotland

Martin Quinn says Star Trek: Strange New Worlds should have a storyline set in Scotland

Star Trek is all about boldly going where no man (or woman) has gone before, but one Strange New Worlds actor is hoping the series will make an exception.

“I would like if we visited Scotland at some point,” Scotty actor Martin Quinn says during a Star Trek spotlight panel at New York Comic Con 2025. “That would be cool. I don’t know if there was like some kind of barmy with the Loch Ness Monster or something, you know what I mean? I don’t know, I’m not a writer."

He continued, "There’s so many great talented Scottish actors - not to replace myself with. It would be nice to involve some of the great Scottish talent. And it’s also beautiful. Around Loch Lomond is amazing. All of the Highlands. You can get some great shots there. It would rain most of the time but just bring an umbrella.”

Look, we're just saying: if someone wants to take Montgomery Scott back to his homeland in the next couple of seasons of SNW, we're not going to be too upset.

Star Trek: Strange New Worlds is streaming on Paramount+.
