Wednesday and Doctor Who star Billie Piper relishes keeping all the spoilers secret, especially from her own kids

Billie Piper knows better than to tell her kids what's going on in Wednesday or Doctor Who, because they'd just tell the internet

Sure, you might get upset that you don’t know the latest about what’s going on in your favorite franchise before it happens, but imagine how frustrating it’s got to be for Billie Piper’s kids — their mother not only holds the secrets about the future of Doctor Who, but also what’s going to happen in the latest season of Netflix’s Wednesday… and she apparently refuses to tell anything to her family, even when they ask.

Piper was asked about the cloak and dagger nature of her Doctor Who cameo during an appearance at Rose City Comic Con 2025, and admitted that she loved that no-one knew anything about it except for her and the handful of people involved in the shoot itself.

“I got the call last minute. It was to shoot in a hidden location, and there were only a few people who knew about it, and I wasn't able to say anything to anyone, including the people I love the most in my life,” she explained. “I actually really like having a secret. As I'm getting older and I'm just so available to my family all the time, I actually like having something for myself. So I really relish that secret. They were so angry it came out.”

“The kids didn’t know?” asked fellow panelist and former Doctor, Christopher Eccleston.

“Never tell the kids! They’re the worst ones — straight on Instagram,” Piper joked. “They’re on it now, with the Wednesday stuff. They’re like, ‘so are you a goodie or a baddie?’ And then they take it so personally that I don’t tell them.”

Hey, Piper family: you could always just check out what’s happening here on Popverse. But if you do find out any secrets, share them with us first, okay…?
