Imagine being really good at math. Now imagine being so good at math, that the government sends someone to spy on you. That’s the basic premise of Apple TV’s upcoming series, Prime Target. The show stars Leo Woodall as a brilliant mathematics graduate student who is “on the verge of a major breakthrough” when an NSA agent, played by Quintessa Swindell, is sent to spy on him. You might be wondering how and when doing math problems would be a threat to national security, but I suppose Prime Target is here to enlighten us.
Prime Target will be released on Apple TV on January 22, 2025. The show is produced by Ridley Scott’s production company, Scott Free Productions, and will come out to a total of 8 episodes.
The name of the show comes from Woodall’s character’s focus on prime numbers. Apple TV states that if Woodall’s character “succeeds in finding a pattern in prime numbers, he will hold the key to every computer in the world.” I can’t imagine that the NSA would be down with that.
Prime Target will be released on Apple TV on January 22, 2025.
