Rian Johnson proved that there was still new life in murder mysteries with his hit film Knives Out, which was followed quickly by a sequel, Glass Onion. But Johnson's bloodhound senses new there was more to investigate than just in the cinemas, which is why we were blessed with his Natsha Lyonne-starring mystery series, Poker Face. And just like one Knives Out movie didn't mean case closed, a new season of the Peacock detective show is on its way.
Specifically, Poker Face season 2 release date is May 8 on Peacock. You can expect to see more of series star Charlie Cane as she gets in and out of trouble running from her past, but perhaps what's even more exciting is that, just like last season, season 2 also has a murderer's row of talent to be involved in the one-off mysteries. Giancarlo Esposito, Cynthia Erivo, and John Mulaney are all confirmed for the second season, along with - wait Sam Richardson is in this??? - and so many, many more.
That said, there's no guarantee the celebs will actually make it through their cameos. This is murder mystery TV, after all, the roles of "victim" and "culprit" are pretty damn important.
Poker Face season 2 comes to Peacock May 8.
