Missing the Sopranos? HBO has something for you: DC's The Penguin

The Penguin isn't like other DC supervillains. He's a mob boss.

Colin Farrell's the Penguin was mobbed up when we first saw him in 2022's The Batman, but in the new trailer for his standalone sequel show the Penguin he is going full-on Tony Soprano. Take a look:

This is the first trailer from The Penguin under the HBO regime after it was shifted to be streaming-only on Max to becoming an HBO Original, and we can't help but notice how much the show looks like HBO's other big crime show, the Sopranos. It could be no coincidence they have a few actors from that show now on The Penguin.

The Penguin debuts September 19 on HBO and will be streaming on Max.
