The newest trailer for One Piece Season 2 has just been released by Netflix, and it gives us the best look we’ve had so far of what the Straw Hats are likely to encounter as they finally reach the Grand Line. The full might of Baroque Works seems to be set against them, with their full array of strange abilities on display. Unsurprisingly, one person stands out even among the oddities of One Piece, and that is the ever-terrifying Nico Robin and her Hana Hana no Mi Devil Fruit.
The focus of this One Piece trailer isn’t technically Nico Robin and her bizarre power. It is obstinately the entirety of Baroque Works, who form the main antagonists of the Alabasta Arc that Season 2 of the live-action One Piece looks set to adapt. Still, it is hard to get the image of Nico Robin killing a hallway full of soldiers out of our heads.
For those who aren’t familiar with the character, Nico Robin’s Devil Fruit power allows her to make parts of her body sprout from other surfaces, including herself or other people. In the clip shown, she has made her arms grow out of a group of soldiers and is stabbing and shooting them as she casually walks past. It is a fantastic shot that highlights why Nico Robin has always been one of the most formidable characters in One Piece.
Sure, we see plenty of swordfighting from Zoro and Luffy’s stretch effects look much improved over the first season, but it is hard not to shiver when you catch just a glimpse of Nico Robin’s power in the new trailer for One Piece Season 2 from Netflix.
One Piece Season 2 is coming to Netflix on March 10, 2026 and it is bringing a whole new flavor of body horror with it.
