There are few constants in the world. The most famous of them are death, taxes, and the impending release of new One Piece episodes. Every week, Toei Animation manages to produce a new One Piece episode, which is almost immediately streamed on Crunchyroll and Netflix, depending on where you live. But when is the next One Piece episode due out?

Unlike most modern anime, One Piece still sticks to a year-round release schedule, so you never have to wait until the next season to see Luffy and the other Straw Hat pirates in action. New episodes currently air at 11 am on Sunday in Japan, which means that they are available early Sunday morning or on Saturday evening, depending on where you live. The next episode of One Piece is due out:

  • Next Episode – A Shocking Revelation - A Great Benefactor, Kuma  – November 17, 2024 at 9 pm EST/6 pm PST

This schedule isn’t completely set in stone, of course – it can change due to major events or natural disasters that delay episodes being animated – but it is more consistent than most release schedules with around 50 episodes of One Piece airing each year. Notably, the anime is currently on a long hiatus until April 2025. In the meantime, a remastered version of the Fishman Island arc will be airing, with improved animation and less filler to slow the pacing down.

When the series returns from its hiatus, the newest episodes of One Piece will cover the Egghead Island arc from the manga, which means we are deep into what creator Eiichiro Oda considers the Final arc of the story. However, there is no need to panic just yet; we still have at least several more years of One Piece adventures to look forward to.
