There is nothing quite like seeing something for the first time, especially when it is before anyone else gets to. Being at New York Comic Con 2025 means that we got to be at the Trigun Stargaze panel, which gave us our first look at the newest trailer for Trigun Stargaze. Toho Animation and Orange aren’t pulling any punches here, which includes putting fan-favorite character Stungun Milly front and center in the Trigun Stargaze Trailer.
That’s right: after years of wondering when she would show up in the new Trigun anime, we’ve finally seen her. Milly was the star of this new Trigun Stargaze trailer. The room exploded with cheers as soon as she showed up on the giant screen, firing her iconic stungun into a bandit’s face and mopping the floor with his henchmen.
Trigun Stampede brought a lot of characters from the original manga and anime back, but Milly was the biggest thing that was missing for lots of fans. Meryl was one of the central characters, but it just felt wrong that her trustworthy partner wasn’t there with her. Trigun Stargaze, the follow-up to Trigun Stampede, is fixing that, and we couldn’t be happier.
Trigun Stargaze is coming to Crunchyroll in January 2026 and promises to be the grand finale to this version of Yasuhiro Nightow’s iconic manga. The story of Trigun Stampede was very different from what Nightow gave us and even more different from the original anime from 1998. Different isn’t a bad thing, of course.
