Black Mirror is coming back to remind you that all technology is scary, if you really think about it

Games are terrifying, but Peter Capaldi is even scarier in the new trailer for the seventh season of Netflix's tech dystopia anthology

Congratulations, Netflix: you’ve given the world the scariest version of Peter Capaldi yet.

The trailer for the next season of Black Mirror has just dropped — along with a release date for the long-awaited return of the show, which has off our screens for almost two years now — and, despite appearances from an all-star cast including Awkwafina, Issa Rae, Chris O’Dowd, Rashida Jones, Deadpool & Wolverine’s Emma Corrin, Paul Giamatti, and many many many more (not to mention, the first sneak peek at the sequel to ‘USS Callister,’ the first time there’s ever been a sequel to a Black Mirror episode), the stand out of the whole thing has to be just how creepy former Doctor Who Peter Capaldi looks as the most mad of all mad scientists ever to appear in science fiction.

So, just classic Black Mirror, really. (The kind of thing that makes Netflix so protective about the series, one might say.)

The new season will feature six episodes and drop April 10. Series creator Charlie Brooker once again writes in addition to executive producing with Jessica Rhoades and Annabel Jones. Watch the trailer below.
