Here’s the release date for Murder in a Small Town on Fox

Get all the clues you need to watch the series premiere of Murder in a Small Town this fall.

Do you already have your fall TV viewing schedule worked out? Does it include the mystery-drama series Murder in a Small Town? The upcoming Canadian series stars Rossif Sutherland as Karl Alberg as a detective investigating homicides in Gibsons, British Columbia. Also starring in the series is Kristin Kruek as Cassandra Mitchell, a Gibsons librarian who serves as a love interest for Alberg.

In addition to Sutherland and Alberg, the cast of Murder in a Small Town also includes:

  • James Cromwell as George Wilcox
  • Stana Katic as Zoe Strachan
  • Mya Lowe as Corporal Edwina Yen
  • Savonna Spracklin as Isabella Harbud
  • Aaron Douglas as Sergeant Sid Sokolowski
  • Fritzy-Klevans Destine as Constable Andy Kendrick

The series is based on the series of detective novels by L.R. Wright. While most episodes will be based on a different novel, the first two episodes will be adapt the 1985 novel The Suspect. While the novels were set in Sechelt, Murder in a Small Town has transposed the location to Gibsons.

Furthermore, Murder in a Small Town promises to deliver verisimilitude when it comes to its title. This is thanks to the fact that filming was actually done in Gibsons. One shooting location was the restaurant Molly’s Reach, which was the primary setting for the show Beachcombers for 19 years.

Curious to investigate the series for yourself? Murder in a Small Town debuts in the United States on Fox on September 24, 2024 at 9:00 pm ET/PT. The series will be released the same day in Canada on Global.
