Wow, it has been a busy week for Marvel Studios fans. We've learned that there's a future for Jon Bernthal's Punisher in the MCU, Denzel Washington has a role in Black Panther 3 (if it ever gets greenlit), and that Storm will be in What If...? season 3. But our Marvel thirst is never slaked here at Popverse - take that however you want to - so we've decided to dive even deeper than these surface-level announcements. And in the realm of the upcoming Disney+ animated series Marvel Zombies, we think we may have landed on something, namely, a mysterious new character being added to the show.

Let's start with what we know. On November 15, Marvel revealed the voice cast for its upcoming horror series Marvel Zombies, which will take place in (and share the animation with) the undead-infected universe we first saw in season 1 of What If...? That list, in no particular order, is as follows:

• Iman Vellani
• David Harbour
• Simu Liu
• Elizabeth Olsen
• Randall Park
• Florence Pugh
• Hailee Steinfeld
• Dominique Thorne
• Todd Williams

Upon first glance, that's a very cool (if charmingly unexpected) roster of Marvel actors, appearing in this animated series presumably as their live-action counterparts. We've got Iman Vellani as Kamala Kahn/Ms. Marvel, David Harbour as Alexei Shostakov/Red Guardian, Simu Liu as Zheng Shang Chi, Elizabeth Olsen as Wanda Maximoff/Scarlet Witch, Randall Park as Jimmy Woo, Florence Pugh as Yelena Belova/Black Widow, Hailee Steinfeld as Kate Bishop/Hawkeye, Dominique Thorne as Riri Williams/Ironheart, and Todd Williams as...

Wait a minute. Todd Williams as who?

That's the question at hand, True Believer. Todd Williams is a prolific actor, appearing in everything from Law & Order: SVU to Teen Wolf. But before now, Todd's never been a member of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, whether in the big screen "Sacred Timeline" or in the more multiversally flexible small screen offerings. Is it possible that the actor will be voicing a character new to the Marvel Zombies storyline and, by extension, a new character in the Marvel Cinematic Universe?

We certainly hope so, if nothing else, for the fact that Williams deserves the money that comes with a big screen MCU role.
