Netflix's Lincoln Lawyer season 4 will make the titular lawyer the client in what will be Mickey Haller's "trial of his life"

Along with the Lincoln Lawyer season 4 release date, Netflix has unveiled a brief plot synopsis for the Manuel Garcia-Rulfo-starring legal hit

The keys are in the ignistion and the seats are just about warmed up - The Lincoln Lawyer season 4 is almost here.

An official description of the new season was released recently by Netflix, setting up the return of the hit show which stars Manuel Garcia-Rulfo as determined LA defense attorney Mickey Haller. And let's just say, well, it seems like the mileage is finally catching up to old Mickey. This season, the client he'll be defending is... himself.

"Following the incredibly suspenseful and emotional climax of Season 3," said showrunners Ted Humphrey and Dailyn Rodriguez in a statement, "The stakes have never been higher, because this time Mickey is the client. With his very life and reputation on the line, he’ll need the strength and support of his entire team, and his entire family, to fight for his future."

Netflix themselves call this "the trial of his life," and he'll apparently be facing off against Constance Zimmer, playing one of the top prosecutors at the LA district attorney's office, so much tso hat she has a nickname of 'Death Row Dana.'

If this all sounds familiar to you as a reader of author Michael Connelly's books, upon which The Lincoln Lawyer is based, well, it should. This plot comes out of Connelly's The Law of Innocence, the sixth book in his Mickey Haller series. And not to panic you, loyal Lincoln Lawyer watcher, but as there are only eight of those novels (thus far), we're officially in the home stretch...

But hey, nobody's saying the show is out of gas yet. In fact, Netflix also released the fourth season's release date, so that you have something to look forward to. That would be February 5, 2026, dear reader, so go ahead and mark your calendars now.

In the meantime, The Lincoln Lawyer seasons 1-3 are streaming on Netflix now.
