Robert Downey, Jr. may be back in the MCU as Doctor Doom, but the world is Ironheart’s oyster. The technological genius made her debut in 2022’s Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, where she was played by actress Dominique Thorne. Now, with her own limited series on Disney+ on the horizon, it’s time for us to welcome back Riri Williams into the MCU.

As revealed in Marvel Studios’s “Look Ahead” trailer on YouTube, promoting its upcoming releases, Ironheart will debut on Disney+ on June 24, 2025. That’s about a month before the release of The Fantastic Four: First Steps, which hits theaters on July 25, 2025. The Ironheart show will feature the villain, The Hood, played by Anthony Ramos. We all got a kick out of Ramos’s performance in Twisters last summer, so it will be interesting to see what the actor will bring in Ironheart.

In the “Look Ahead” trailer, we can see Riri at work on another Ironheart suit — one that looks to be a big step up from the one she had in Wakanda Forever. Let’s also remember that Riri is a teenage genius enrolled at MIT. After working with the Wakandans, she’s bound to have come up with new visions for her Ironheart suit. In the trailer, there appears to be two different suits that Riri wears on the show, one that’s white and another that’s got a burned metal look to it. We can’t wait to see what she’s been working on.

Ironheart season 1 will release on Disney+ on June 24, 2025.
