Who is High Potential’s Kaitlin Olson?

Wondering why the star of High Potential, Kaitlin Olson, looks so familiar? Here’s why you recognize the lead of the new crime drama on ABC.

In High Potential, Kaitlin Olson stars as Morgan Gillory, a single mother of three who works for the Los Angeles Police Department as a cleaner. However, thanks to having an IQ of 160, Gillory is also able to assist the LAPD in solving high profile crimes in the course of her cleaning duties. But you may be wondering: why does Olson look so familiar to you?

The most likely place you are likely to recognize Olson from is her long-running role as one of the main characters of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia. Since the show’s debut in 2005, Olson has played Dee Reynolds. Dee is the twin sister to one of the show’s other main characters, Dennis Reynolds (Glenn Howerton). Rounding out the main cast is Charlie Kelly (Charlie Day), Frank Reynolds (Danny DeVito) and Mac (Olson’s real-life husband, Rob McElhenney).

It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia is the longest running American live-action sitcom ever. So, it’s not too surprising that this might be where you recognize Olson from. The series follows The Gang (as they are collectively called) on their chaotic, misanthropic adventures.

However, even if you’ve never watched It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, there’s plenty of other places you might recognize High Potential’s Olson from. She’s appeared on other live-action shows like Flipped and The Mick. Plus, she’s had guest starring appearances on shows like Curb Your Enthusiasm and Space Force. She appeared in the Image Dragons music video Follow You. And she’s also an accomplished voice actor, having played roles in Finding Dory and guest starring on Bob’s Burgers.

If you want to see Olson in the starring role in High Potential, the new series airs on ABC on Tuesday at 10:00 PM ET, and you catch new episodes the next day on Hulu.
