Hellaverse creator VivziePop says Helluva Boss season 3 is raunchiest yet, needed Prime Video for uncensored jokes

"There's certain lines that I don't want to cross, visually," says VivziePop AKA Vivienne Medrano, "But we go right up to that line in season 3 of Helluva Boss."

Helluva Boss is finally joining sister series Hazbin Hotel on Amazon's Prime Video, and if you can believe it, is about to get a whole lot raunchier. The animated, Hell-set musical comedy created by Vivienne Medrano AKA VivziePop has already aired its first and second seasons on YouTube, but will now be headed to Prime without all the censorship YouTube demands. And that's a great thing for the series' future, says the creator, because the season that comes next is its raunchiest yet.

VivziePop was at the Hazbin Hotel/Helluva Boss panel taking place at San Diego Comic Con 2025, where series lead Brandon Rogers, who plays Blitzo (the O is silent), was giving the ravenous crowd a tease of what was to come on the show.

"I just smile," Rogers told the assembled fans, "because of how much violence and swears and sexy things they're about to see and hear that they couldn't hear on YouTube."

Medrano jumped in to expand on that.

"The number one thing," she says, "Especially timing-wise, is that season 3 has some of the raunchiest stuff for sure. There's certain lines that I don't want to cross, visually, but we go right up to that line in season 3 of Helluva Boss. I was already worried about that, but now I'm not, because I've seen much worse on streaming."

Also in attendance at the panel was Erika Henningsen, who plays Charlie Morningstar in Hazbin Hotel. At this moment in the panel, Henningsen leaned over to try to quietly ask what kinds of things Medrano was talking about.

"I’ll tell you later," said the creator, referencing the spoiler-hungry crowd.

The uncensored Helluva Boss seasons 1 and 2 come to Prime Video September 10. Hazbin Hotel season 2 arrives October 29.
