Every actor has dreams and ambitions that they are still chasing, even when they’ve found themselves on a show that is as popular as Hazbin Hotel has become. For Amir Talai, who plays Alastor in Hazbin Hotel, their recent performance on Broadway was a “dream come true” and an emotional moment for him.

While discussing the Broadway performance of Hazbin Hotel during the cast reunion panel at MCM London 2025, Valentino actor Joel Perez brought the focus to Talai, saying, “Let’s give it up for Amir Talai, who made his Broadway debut. How does it feel like to be on Broadway? To be a Broadway actor?”

Amir Talai was visibly emotional as he recounted how it felt. “It was amazing. It was a dream come true… And to completely fall in love with my cast, it was such an honor, you know what I mean?”

For Talai, it was as much about who he shared the stage with as it was to be on the iconic stage itself. “I always imagine like… I’m a big basketball fan and I think about like rookies that get to play with, they get to play with superstars like Stephen Curry and I go, ‘God, they’re so lucky,’ and my first Broadway experience was with Tony winners and Tony nominees and Broadway vets and 800 cameras and an audience that was absolutely losing their minds and yeah. I couldn’t have asked for anything better. It was amazing.”

All through the story, Talai was either fighting back tears or wiping them from his eyes, so it is clear that the performance meant a lot to him personally. Just like it meant to those lucky Hazbin Hotel fans who got to see the show performed live.
