Alan Tudyk reveals he's reuniting with his Firefly co-star Jewel Staite in Resident Alien season 4 on USA Network

Alan Tudyk will reunite with his Firefly and Serenity co-star Jewel Staite on season 4 of Resident Alien

It’s always nice to get together with old friends.

Alan Tudyk is currently working on a project with an old friend, and he can’t wait for all of us to see it.

Tudyk was initially coy about the reunion, not wanting to spoil the surprise. “We can’t announce it yet,” Tudyk says during a Firefly reunion panel here at Emerald City Comic Con 2025 this weekend. However, after some prodding, Tudyk made the announcement – we’ll be getting a Firefly/Serenity reunion on Resident Alien, Tudyk’s SyFy comedy.

“Jewel [Staite] is going to be on it. In season 4, which comes out…I don’t know. We’re still shooting it. We’re almost done. We have just about 3 weeks left,” Tudyk says

While there’s no release date yet, Tudyk believes it could air sometime in the second half of the year. “The earliest it could even be considered is summer,” Tudyk says.
