HBO orders Dune: Prophecy season 2 ahead of season 1 finale
HBO has renewed the prequel series for a season 2, announced just a few days before the season 1 finale of Dune: Prophecy

It's official - Dune: Prophecy has been renewed for a second season by HBO.
The news comes after a press conference held by HBO and attended by showrunner Alison Schapker, Emily Watson (Vayla Harkonnen), and Olivia Williams (Tula Harkonnen).
"I am thrilled to be able to announce that HBO is picking us up for a season 2," Schapker said at the end of the press conference, "We are so thrilled and so grateful there for their support, their partners at Legendary, and most of all, that we get to continue working with these extraordinary people in front of the camera and behind the camera, that we keep get to keep telling the story that we care so deeply about and get to continue building out our corner of the Dune universe."
At the time of this writing, Popverse is not aware of release or shooting dates for Dune: Prophecy season 2.
Dune: Prophecy season 1, episode six will air (and end the season) on December 22.
