Dark Winds season 3 may have come out in April of this year, but season 4 of the AMC+ show is coming out less than a year after its predecessor. AMC+'s show starring Zahn McClarnon as Lt. Joe Leaphorn of the Navajo Tribal Police, has cultivated a strong fanbase since previous seasons of the show were added to Netflix. Now, with season 4 on the way, AMC's show will likely continue this momentum for Dark Winds.

Dark Winds season 4 release date is February 15, 2026 on AMC and AMC+. Season 4 will consist of 8 episodes, running an hour long each. It will also feature Zahn McClarnon's directorial debut, which is exciting! AMC+ has posted a teaser for the season, which you can watch below.

Variety reports that season 4 of Dark Winds will depict “the search for a missing Navajo girl, which takes Leaphorn, Chee and Manuelito from the safety of the Navajo Nation to the gritty terrain of 1970s Los Angeles in a race against the clock to save her from an obsessive killer with ties to organized crime." Season 4 of the show was also executive-produced by the late Robert Redford.

Dark Winds season 4 will be released on February 15, 2026 on AMC and AMC+.
