Did [SPOILER] really die in Daredevil: Born Again episode 7? Maybe, but it looks like they'll be back for season 2 anyway
The most recent episode of Disney+'s Daredevil series ended with an unexpected death... but this is comic book fare, baby. Death is a suggestion, not a guarantee

Major spoilers for Daredevil: Born Again, episode 7, and possibly season 2.
You may recall our assertion that Daredevil: Born Again nerfed one of its most interesting villains: serial killer Muse. Yes, after just a couple moments of screen time, Muse is dead, shot in the face by none other than Matt Murdock's love interest (and Vanessa Fisk's therapist), Dr. Heather Glenn. But just how effective do we really think that gunshot was? According to a recent quote from showrunner Dario Scardapane, the answer may be, 'not very.'
The quote we're talking about comes from an interview Scardapane did with TVLine, in which the former Punisher showrunner said that Muse's role would feature in season one "and beyond."
To be fair, this quote alone wouldn't be enough to suggest that Muse is confirmed to come back (and to be clear - Muse is not as of this writing, officially confirmed for season 2). However, this quote combined with recent photos leaked from the set of Daredevil: Born Again season 2, which seemingly confirm a stunt actor for Muse will feature, make his postmortem appearance seem fairly likely.
So what really happened in the most recent episode of Disney+'s adaptation of the Daredevil comics? Well, the first possibility is simply that Muse orchestrated a fake death (it takes a lot of organization to come up with those murals, just sayin'). Another possibility is that Muse really did die at the hands of Heather Glenn, and that season 2 will deal with an actual resurrection.
Don't turn your nose up at the idea just yet - folks coming back to life isn't just a popular event in Marvel Comics, but particularly in Daredevil stories. Remember, Matt Murdock's badass love interest Elektra was murdered by Bullseye, only to be revived by ninja clan The Hand. Then, Bullseye himself died after a battle with Daredevil (well, a demon possessing Daredevil, it's complicated), then got the Frankenstein treatment himself.
Adding to this idea, other leaked set photos make it pretty clear that at least Daredevil's costume in season 2 will take inspiration from Shadowland, a storyline that deals several supernatural factors, resurrection being one of them.
So maybe that idea we posited that Muse was underdone in Daredevil: Born Again will turn out to be wrong. After all, how many MCU characters have gotten over Death? Hell, by the time season 2 rolls around, we might be writing about how Muse was actually overpowered.
