Look sharp, Naruto fans: A Boruto: Two Blue Vortex special site has been launched and could lead to the return of the popular anime

Both Naruto and Boruto have had a long hiatus. It is close to time for both of them to return.

Naruto fans have been waiting for an update on the anime for what feels like years. With the 20th Anniversary episodes of Naruto seemingly on a permanent hiatus and the Boruto anime on hold while the manga builds up a decent buffer, things have been quiet on the animated front for both series. However, a new website dedicated to Boruto: Two Blue Vortex could signal that the series might be moving in the right direction again.

The Boruto: Two Blue Vortex “special site” was launched recently by the manga’s publisher and is meant to serve as a hub for all things Boruto going forward. It has information about the manga, including the release date for volume four of Boruto: Two Blue Vortex, plus the movie and tons of information about the characters and their powers. What is largely missing, however, is the Boruto anime – but that is probably going to come later.

We’re doing a bit of speculating here, but these kinds of sites are often established by manga publishers in the lead-up to new announcements. There is a small section on the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex site for the first part of the anime, but the anime is mostly absent. The Boruto anime has been on hiatus since the first part ended in March 2023 due to a lack of material to adapt, but the manga has been going strong since August 2023 with few breaks in its publishing schedule.

This should give the anime team plenty of story to begin production of the Boruto: Two Blue Vortex anime and the establishment of a specific website for that title is likely a precursor to that announcement.
