Invincible's Atom Eve actor Gillian Jacobs says what we're all thinking about her character's trash father

Invincible’s Gillian Jacobs is not a fan of Atom Eve’s father Adam Wilkins, and she’s not alone

When a comic book is adapted into a television series, fans usually wind up disagreeing about things. Amazon Prime Video’s Invincible is no exception. Some viewers clash with one another over how the show changed storyline details from the comics. However, there is one thing all Invincible fans can come together on – Adam Wilkins is the worst.

Atom Eve’s adoptive father never seems to have a good thing to say. His adoptive daughter has the power to conjure anything to make their lives better, but he treats her like trash. No Adam Wilkins, you’re the one who is trash.

It’s amazing how in a show full of aliens who commit genocide that Eve’s father is the most hated character, but that’s how horrible he is. One YouTuber even calls him the biggest villain of the franchise. If you need more examples, just type ‘Atom Eve’s father’ in your search engine and you’ll be flooded with video titles such as ‘Why EVERYONE Hates Atom Eve’s Father.’

Even Gillian Jacobs, who plays Eve on the animated series, is in agreement.

“Her dad is so mean. I mean, does she have the meanest dad,” Gillian Jacobs says during an Invincible spotlight panel at New York Comic Con. “She just keeps trying with her parents, and he’s not open to it. She’s tried so many different ways to make amends with him or give him what she thinks he wants, and it’s always wrong.”

If you think fans hate him now, wait until the series adapts Adam’s sexist speech from Invincible #68.

Invincible season four premieres March 2026 on Prime Video.
