Don't look now, but an Alien: Earth teaser just confirmed our prediction about Weyland-Yutani

Earlier, we asked if the Weyland-Yutani corp had acquired more alien species than just the xenomorph before Prometheus. Turns out, that's a big, doubled-mouthed "yep"

On April 22, Popverse reported on a blink-and-you'll-miss-it image from an early Alien: Earth teaser that suggested a massive change in Alien canon. That is, that Weyland-Yutani was aware of other alien species, besides the xenomorph and its creators, before the events of cinematic prequel Prometheus. And now, another recent teaser has confirmed exactly that.

Take a look for yourself.

Not only does this teaser confirm that we were right about Weyland-Yutani's knowledge of extraterrestrial life, but it even gives us specifics about what kinds of life the sinister company knew about. "This ship collected 5 different lifeforms from the darkest corners of the universe," says an unknown character in the teaser's narration, our emphasis added. "Each one a unique, deadly species. Monsters."

Naturally, the Popverse team has watched this teaser backwards and forwards, trying to determine if any of those alien species contained behind that yellow-tinted glass are familiar to us. Sadly, the answer to that is no, but we do want to point out one quick item before you go.

On the far right, the yellow glass panel appears to be a kind of porthole to a taller cell - almost as though it was made as a window for a human-sized creature. Now, with confirmed Weyland-Yutani symbols spotted in the Predator: Badlands trailer, we simply have to wonder if one of the alien species that Alien: Earth will be dealing with is famous (though canonically wobbly) xenomorph rival, the Yautja, AKA The Predator.

We'll probably only find out what those other monstrous species are when Alien: Earth coms to Hulu summer 2025. Until then, you can bet we'll be scouring more teasers like this one for hints.

It just feels too good being right.

If you love aliens bursting out of chests and hugging your face, then we have all you could want from  Popverse's Alien watch order, details on where Romulus fits into the Alien timeline, and all you need to know  on the upcoming Aliens TV show with Timothy Oliphant.
