Think the cast of Agatha All Along was really sweating during episode 4's big musical number on Disney+? There is a reason for that
The MCU series really turned up the heat in this episode of the Disney+ show

Agatha All Along continues to drip-feed us lore about the magical side of the MCU, but episode four of the Disney+ series was when things really started to heat up for the MCU's favorite witches. We’re not just using a familiar turn of phrase there, either; everything was literally on fire as Agatha Harkness’ coven jammed out to yet another version of The Ballad of The Witches’ Road. Turns out, those flames weren’t all added in post, either.
If it looked like the cast of Agatha All Along was sweating in episode four’s musical number, it wasn’t just because of the wigs and the polyester. While performing a 70’s rock-inspired version of The Ballad of the Witches’ Road, Agatha’s coven has to contend with a generational curse that is haunting their protection witch, Alice, as well as a non-zero amount of fire encroaching upon them as they play.
According to Joe Locke, who plays Teen in latest Marvel Studios series, “There were a lot of things to juggle at once! I’m not very good at playing the guitar. I learned the chords, but doing it with the singing and a big shard of glass coming out of my shirt with a horrible scratchy wig was hard. And they actually set the set on fire, which was great, but warm.”
Honestly, we love the dedication to practical effects in Agatha All Along, but lighting parts of the set on fire for this shot feels excessive. Though, it was probably good motivation for the cast to get the take right as soon as possible. Locke also reminds us that the series was filmed in Atlanta in April or May, so no one could escape the heat even between takes.
Agatha All Along is currently airing on Disney+.
