How much murder can one good girl handle? Hopefully at least a little bit more, because Pip, Ravi, and the rest of the crew are coming back for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season two. This is good news for fans of the show who have spent the past couple of months clamoring for more of the hit BBC and Netflix series. And it is good news for Wednesday’s Emma Myers, who has an excuse to keep using that British accent she learned for the show.
The announcement came from Netflix on social media, though it didn’t include any details other than the fact that the second season of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder was happening. It had been a lingering question among the fandom; the first season ended with Pip solving the murder of Andie Bell and giving closure to the small town of Little Kilton. It was a clean ending, so why continue the story in season two?
Simply put, because there are more stories to tell. The first season followed the plot of A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder, but Holly Jackson wrote three sequels to that novel. Judging by the teaser description that Netflix posted when they confirmed that season two was on the way, it looks like they’ll be adapting the second book, Good Girl, Bad Blood. In it, Pip agrees to take on one more case – the disappearance of Jamie Reynolds.
We still don’t have a release date for A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder season two, so fans will probably have to wait until late 2025 or 2026 to see Emma Myers back in action as Pip. We’re sure the wait will be worth it, though. We also don't know if Netflix will once more be sharing streaming duties with the BBC or if they'll be able to stream the series exclusively this time.
The other star of Netflix's hit series Wednesday, Emma Myers, is stepping out on her own with the BBC/Netflix adaptation of a Good Girl's Guide to Murder. Read on for details about the show's cast, release date, and a play-by-play of the show's official panel from London's MCM Comic Con, and coming soon you can watch the full panel for free.
