Popverse is growing. Again.

A familiar face on this website and at New York Comic Con 2024 is joining the field full-time, as Jules Chin Greene is now a Popverse Staff Writer. After making his Popverse debut in September 2023 writing about how DC's Blue Beetle championed BIPOC coming-of-age stories, he grew to become one of our key contributing writers (and later Editorial Assistant) through his creativity, dedication, and fastidiousness - as well as embracing the con lifestyle at shows like WonderCon, Comic-Con International: San Diego, and New York Comic Con. In that time, he interviewed Baldur's Gate 3's Neil Newbon at NYCC 2024, talked about how he found a positive role model in Wolverine, why the '80s Star Wars RPG is a key pillar of the franchise 40+ years later, and how Harley Quinn: Birds of Prey became his Valentine's Day comfort watch.

He comes to us with experience as a comics editor for ScreenRant, and years of experience writing about comics, movies, and tv for ScreenRant, Nerdist, AIPT, and DC. His secret origin, as it were, was as an Oberlin College Undergraduate Research Fellow majoring in Cinema Studies and English. After graduation he interned for both Sony Pictures Entertainment and Variety.

Jules joins the Popverse staff alongside myself, Editor Graeme McMillan, Video Producer Ashley V. Robinson, Staff Writer Grant DeArmitt, Marketing Coordinator Nathan Clark, and Marketing Manager Jeremy Ross - along with a host of prized contributing writers and video editors - as we form the modern Popverse, covering the best of comics, movies, television, gaming, and prose fiction.

Greene will be attending Anaheim's WonderCon in March for Popverse - the first con he did for us while as a freelance writer. Following that, they will join the team in Chicago for C2E2 in April. Expect to see him write a lot about Daredevil in the coming months.
