New York Comic Con 2023 is just around the corner — no, really, it’s just over two weeks away — and, as should be expected, Marvel is planning on taking full advantage of the biggest convention in North America happening right in its own hometown.

We know what Marvel is planning for New York Comic Con in terms of panels, booth activities, and giveaways... and it’s pretty substantial.

Marvel at NYCC 2023: Booth Activities

Marvel will have two booths at NYCC 2023: its primary booth at #2153, and the official Marvel store at #2453. We’ll get to the exclusive merch available at the store in a minute, but this is what Marvel is promising at its primary booth:

  • Giveaways of the Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game Core Rulebook (while supplies last) to celebrate the upcoming launch of Marvel Multiverse Role-Playing Game: The Cataclysm of Kang.
  • The interactive fitness app Marvel Move will offer giveaways (while supplies last) for users who complete The Marvels: Flerken Virtual Race by Sunday, October 15 at 2:00pm EST.
  • Ahead of the October 20 launch of Marvel's Spider-Man 2 (only on PlayStation 5), swing by the Marvel booth for a photo op with statues of our iconic heroes Peter and Miles! If you look carefully, a third character may appear in your photo too. Each day, we'll also be giving away a small gift to those who take a picture with the statues (while supplies last)!
  • Hasbro will showcase their newest HASLAB offering, a 24-inch-tall Marvel Legends Giant-Man figure. Fans can also participate in a prehistoric showdown with a Marvel Mech Strike Mechasaurs blaster demo area.
  • Shop the full Warby Parker | Marvel limited-edition line of eyeglasses and sunglasses inspired by Peter Parker, Miles Morales, Mary Jane, and Venom from Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. Purchase them early at NYCC before the collaboration officially launches on October 20 at warbyparker.com.
  • Citizen is calling all Loki variants for the ultimate photo op to celebrate Marvel Studios’ Loki Season 2. Visit the Citizen display of costumes worn by Tom Hiddleston’s “Loki” and Ke Huy Quan’s “O.B.” in the booth. Citizen will also host daily giveaways (while supplies last) of the Axiom SC and Loki timepieces, and a full retail experience for fans to view and shop select timepieces from the Marvel | Citizen collection.
  • Livestream shopping platform Whatnot is giving one lucky fan the opportunity to be in a custom one-shot comic featuring the Avengers. Fans can enter the Whatnot sweepstakes for the opportunity to win between now and 10/15 by downloading the Whatnot app, navigating to the Marketplace tab, and clicking Drops to access the Marvel x Whatnot drop-card. Terms and conditions apply – see whatnot.com for more details.
  • Demos, giveaways (while supplies last), and information about exclusive drops from VeVe to get you started on your digital collecting journey!

Marvel at NYCC 2023: Giveaways

Even if you can't afford merchandise, every attendee at a Marvel panel will get their own little piece of memorabilia from the show. From Marvel: "On Thursday, October 12, attendees at the Avengers Assemble: A This Week in Marvel Special Event panel will walk away with a color-focus Avengers #5 variant by Stuart Immonen, as Scarlet Witch battles the deadliest member of the Ashen Combine. At the MARVEL: Amazing Spider-Man - Gang War panel on Friday, October 13, attendees will receive a sketch variant of the NYCC 2023 program guide on the cover of Amazing Spider-Man #35 by Mahmud Asrar. Then, on Saturday, October 14, attendees at the Marvel Fanfare with C.B. Cebulski will receive a G.O.D.S. #1 design variant by Valerio Schiti! Shortly after that on Saturday, October 14, attendees at the MARVEL: Next Big Thing panel will receive a secret Avengers #6 variant cover by Leinil Francis Yu featuring [CLASSIFIED]! And finally, on Sunday, October 15, Women of Marvel panel attendees will get a color-focus sketch variant of Ms. Marvel: The New Mutant #2 by Sara Pichelli."

I know; it's a lot of Marvel happening in one concentrated place. You might asking yourself: "Will Popverse be at all of that NYCC action, making sure you have the news as it happens?" It's a question to which we have a simple answer: Is Cannonball nigh invulnerable while blastin’?

Popverse will be providing wall-to-wall coverage of New York Comic Con 2023, with an all-star crew of writers, editors, and video producers there all four days (and nights), as well as in advance of the show. You can follow along to this coverage as well as the panels we're streaming with our NYCC Popverse coverage guide.
